MORE THAN 5,000 RHINOS HAVE BEEN POACHED IN SOUTH AFRICA SINCE 2010. ONE RHINO IS KILLED EVERY 6 HOURS. RHINOS WILL BE EXTINCT IN THE WILD BY 2024, IF WE DO NOT ACT NOW.

On September 11th, Luke Boba competed in the New Forest Half Marathon in Hampshire UK completing the course in 2:40:09. Luke has previously contacted the Australian Rhino Project and was keen to make a contribution to helping establish a breeding herd of rhinos in an environmentally suitable safe haven. Luke ran the entire Half Marathon in his Australian Rhino Project Rhino Hat and at the same time managed to raise $552.00 for the project. Luke and his supporter’s contribution will help fly a rhino over 200km away from the hands of poachers.

No matter where you are located in the world, you too can make a contribution to protect a species. To set up a fundraising page for your upcoming event and help raise funds for the Australian Rhino project, you can go to https://nfp.everydayhero.com/au/the-australian-rhino-project
